Thank you for visiting our SECOND set of staff profiles! Every day until the last day of Tet Festival 2012, we will be posting up select profiles from our Tet Festival directors and staff.
We have over 200 staffers this year, but I hope that from the few profiles that you are able to tune into for the rest of the week, you will be able to learn a little bit about the student volunteers who have made Tet Festival 2012 possible.

Shuttles will run around the clock on Saturday from 12pm-10pm and on Sunday from 12pm-9pm.
The (2) pick-up locations are La Quinta High School and Westminster Civic Center at Freedom Park (near Vietnam War Memorial).

Shuttles are FREE and are a good alternative to avoiding the traffic and parking constraints at the festival grounds.
**Only Saturday 12 PM to Sun 9 PM, each family will receive a gift from UVSA and sponsors! Limited gifts; one per family.
The Tết Festival of Southern California is recognized as the world’s largest Tết Festival outside of Vietnam. Helping preserve culture, the festival boasts 100,000+ visitors and dozens of booths in a span of a three day weekend event. Visitors are emersed with a vibrant array of traditional foods, live entertainment, festive games, and customs celebrating the new year.
Tết is the most observed holiday within Vietnamese culture. It celebrates the Lunar New Year, the beginning of Spring, and a way to start fresh.
The Union of Vietnamese Student Associations (UVSA) has been the host of the Tết Festival for more than 30 years. The spirit and hard-work from students and volunteers helps bring the festival to life. Granted the exclusive right to host the festival in 2002, UVSA contributes thousands of volunteer hours to help youth build strong leadership skills, cultural awareness, and experiences. 50% of the profit from the festival is given back to the community.
