Chinese Chess

The preliminary will take place in “Cultural Village” of Tet Festival on Saturday January 28, 2012.
The Finals will continue on Sunday January 29, 2012.
Application due on Tuesday January 17, 2012.
NO GAMBLING ALLOWED.

Children’s Pageant

Applicant must be from age 3 to 10.
Must be able to understand and speak some Vietnamese.
Application deadline is on Friday January 13, 2012.
Must be available for rehearsals after school and on weekends.
Must be available on the day of pageant: January 28, 2012 at 1PM
1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will receive a three months worth of lesson to Duc Dang Martial Arts Academy.
Certificate is transferable.

Creative Writing/Poetry

Question: What does Tet mean to you? What’s your most memorable experience of Tet? Describe the feeling
you associate with Tet.
● Submission can either be in English or Vietnamese. Maximum of 500 words.
● No age limit for submission.
● Application/essay due Tuesday, January 17, 2012.

Photography

Must turn in application along with application fee and photo being judged by January 13, 2012.
Photos must be mounted, and maximum size (including mounting) should be 16 x 20″.
Theme for submission is peace/ serenity. Capture what is peaceful to you.
Winners will be announced during the festival on January 29, 2012 and contacted personally.

Exclusive!

A drawing contest will be held behind the Information and Vendors booth on January 28 and 29, 2012 for age
18 and below.
● Materials will be provided. No fee required.
● Winner will be contacted personally.
