General Information

We are looking for performers throughout 3 days of the Tet Festival. This event draws more than 100,000 visitors yearly and is 100% non-profit. This is a great chance to network with other talented performers and be exposed to thousands of audiences. We are currently looking for performers for:

General Entertainment

All 3 days
New to this year, we have a second stage is a mini version of our main stage. This stage is open to all types of performances. The stage is big enough to fit a small dance group or a full rock band. The time availability to perform on this stage is very generous. This is ideal for group performers who need a little more time to perform. Time given can vary but it’s possible that a group can get up to 20-30 minutes on stage depending on the content.

Youth Night Entertainment

Saturday, January 28th, 2012
Youth Night aims to provide entertainment that represent the younger generation of today. In the past, we’ve had dance groups, singers, actors, and musician from different organizations performing on the grand stage. Saturday is usually the busiest night out of all 3 days. Spots are very limited and only the best talent that represent youth have the opportunity to perform.

Community Entertainment

Sunday, January 29th, 2012
This event is held for various performances from organization of our community. In the past, many performances reflect the Vietnamese culture such as cultural dances, vovinam (karate), singing, and more.

Talent Search Competition

UVSA will be hosting a talent search competition for the Tet Festival of 2012. This competition is open to all types of performing art from individual to group performances. There will be professional judges to evaluate along with television and other form media coverage for this event. There will be 3 prizes awarded totaled over $2000, including gifts. The deadline is January 6th, 2012. Participants must go through live auditions or send in a demo before the deadline. The top talents will be chosen to compete in the final live in front of thousands of audiences. All participants must meet agree to the terms & conditions of the competition.
